W 2016 roku Ritu Kaushik, gospodyni domowa z obrzeży New Delhi, zaczęła sprzedawać torby na Flipkarcie. Jej autorska marka Ritupal Collection odniosła duży sukces. Jednak droga do niego nie była prosta. Ritu - urodzona w małej wiosce w Sonipat (Haryana), w wieku 16 lat była zmuszona przerwać swoją edukację i wyjść za mąż pod presją rodziny. Dziś wraca jako spełniona kobieta – przedsiębiorczyni i opowiada młodemu pokoleniu o walce o siebie i pokonywaniu barier stawianych przez patriarchat.

„Skate Gal Club” to pochodzący z Ghany kolektyw składający się wyłącznie z kobiet. Został on stworzony w celu łączenia, wzmacniania i wsparcia swoich członkiń poprzez… wspólną jazdę na deskorolce. Sandy Alibo, założycielka klubu, opowiada o trudnościach związanych z założeniem „SGC” , a także wyjaśnia, dlaczego empowerment’owe projekty dla dziewcząt są aktualnie w Afryce Zachodniej niezbędne.

Ritu Goes Online

In 2016, Ritu Kaushik, a housewife from the suburbs of New Delhi, started selling bags on Flipkart. Her proprietary brand „Ritupal Collection” turned out to be a great success. However, the road to it was not easy. Ritu - born in a small village in Sonipat (Haryana), at the age of 16 was forced to stop her education and get married under pressure from her family. Today she returns as a fulfilled woman - entrepreneur and tells the younger generation about fighting for herself and overcoming barriers set by the patriarchy.

The film concerns one of the many contemporary characters of slavery, where the daily struggle for a decent life leaves behind scars without a brand and without a tag, much more durable than the collections of the "fast fashion" era.
